Australia Day Family Fun at Karuah RSL

January 20, 2026

Australia Day Celebrations

Celebrate Australia Day with a full day of family fun at Karuah RSL on Monday, 26th January. We’ve planned an action-packed schedule of activities and entertainment that brings together the whole community for a true Aussie celebration.

The day kicks off at 12pm with our Amateur Produce Competition, showcasing the best of local talent and creativity. At 2pm, test your skills in the Thong Throwing Competition – a classic Aussie activity that’s always a crowd favourite. From 3pm, Ruby the Clown will be entertaining the kids while Fun Bowls gets underway for all ages to enjoy.

Evening Entertainment and Fireworks

As the sun sets, They Call Me Bruce takes the stage from 7pm to keep the celebrations going with live entertainment. The night culminates with a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm, weather permitting, lighting up the sky in true Australia Day style.

Supporting Our Local RFS

Best of all, proceeds from the day will be donated to our local Rural Fire Service, supporting the dedicated volunteers at Limeburners, Karuah and North Arm Cove. Last year, we proudly donated $6,000 to these essential community services, and we’re hoping to match or exceed that figure this year with your support.

Bring the whole family down, celebrate all things Aussie, and support a great local cause. It’s a day of fun, community spirit, and giving back to those who keep us safe.
