Celebrating Elaine Wilson’s Dedication to Got Your Back Sista

Karuah RSL Vice-President Elaine Wilson is being recognised for her extraordinary commitment to supporting women and children escaping domestic and family violence. A survivor herself, Elaine has channelled her lived experience into a powerful force for good – leading fundraising efforts at the Club, collecting essential goods and food, and rallying the Karuah community behind the vital work of Got Your Back Sista.

Through Elaine’s passionate advocacy, Karuah RSL has contributed more than $32,000 to Got Your Back Sista in recent years – funding that goes directly toward helping women and children rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.

Truly One of a Kind

Got Your Back Sista’s Susi Stewart describes Elaine as “truly one of a kind” – a testament to the genuine heart she brings to everything she does. Karuah RSL CEO Chris Fraser echoes that sentiment, saying Elaine embodies the values of community, volunteerism, and service that sit at the core of what clubs stand for.

Elaine’s story is a reminder that lived experience, paired with compassion and determination, can create real and lasting change in a community. She is a genuine clubby in every sense of the word.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Elaine and the difference she continues to make in the lives of others. To read the full ClubsNSW article about Elaine and her remarkable contribution, visit the ClubsNSW ClubLife feature.
