Community Meeting to Save the Festival
Karuah RSL has an important community announcement regarding the Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival. Unfortunately, it looks like this much-loved local event may not go ahead this year due to a shortage of committee members available to help organise it.
The festival has been well attended and quite profitable in recent years, making it a highlight on the local calendar. Losing it would be a real blow to the community, which is why we’re calling on anyone who can help to step up and get involved.
Your Last Chance to Save the Festival
There is still time to turn this around. The final opportunity to save the Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival is to attend tonight’s community meeting, held here at Karuah RSL at 7pm on Tuesday 31 March. If enough people come forward to join the organising committee, the festival can go ahead.
If you’ve ever enjoyed the festival and want to see it continue, now is the time to show your support. Come along tonight, have your say, and help keep this important community tradition alive.
