Save the Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival – Urgent Meeting

March 30, 2026

Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival Needs Your Help

It’s disappointing news for our community – the Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival is at risk of not going ahead this year. Despite being a well-attended and profitable event in recent years, the festival is facing a critical shortage of committee members to help organise it.

The good news is that there’s still time to save it. If you’re passionate about this beloved local event and want to see it continue, your help is needed now.

Attend Tomorrow Night’s Meeting

Your last chance to keep the Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival alive is to attend the meeting being held tomorrow night, Tuesday 31 March, at 7pm here at the Club. This is the opportunity to put your hand up, get involved, and ensure this community favourite goes ahead.

The festival has been a highlight on the local calendar, drawing strong crowds and delivering great results for the community. Losing it would be a real shame, and it doesn’t have to happen if enough people are willing to step up and help with the organising committee.

If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved in local events or contributing to something that brings the community together, this is your chance. No special skills are required – just enthusiasm and a willingness to help.

Please spread the word and encourage anyone who might be interested to come along tomorrow night. The more people who attend, the better the chance of saving this fantastic festival.
