Recent efforts to improve the green have been relentless. A sprinkler system has been successfully installed, ensuring optimal irrigation. Today marked the third round of top dressing, vital for maintaining the quality of the turf. Additionally, fresh edges have been meticulously completed, and synthetic grass now dots the river side of the green, enhancing its appeal and functionality. Bench seats have been strategically placed and are set to be securely bolted down for convenience. New boundary markers have also been acquired to further enhance the overall playing experience.
A special acknowledgment goes out to the numerous volunteers who have generously dedicated their time and efforts to these improvements. Their invaluable contributions have not gone unnoticed – a heartfelt thank you to all involved. Looking ahead, there is a scheduled meeting next Wednesday to finalize plans for the anticipated resumption of bowls and to coordinate a Christmas gathering for the members. Stay tuned for an announcement regarding the confirmed date for the resumption of bowls, and let the excitement build for the upcoming festive season.
