Amateur Produce Competition at Karuah RSL

January 21, 2026

Australia Day Amateur Produce Competition

Join us on 26th January for our Amateur Produce Competition at Karuah RSL. Celebrate Australia Day while supporting our local Volunteer Fire Brigades for just $1 per entry. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your homemade and homegrown talents while contributing to a worthy cause.

Competition Categories

We have five exciting categories for you to enter. Home Cooking welcomes your cakes, biscuits, and quiches. Preserved Foods includes jams, pickles, and jerky – jars will not be opened for judging. Show off your green thumb in the Flowers category with blooms from your own garden, or enter your fruit, vegetables, eggs, and more in the Home Grown category. The Best Decorated category celebrates skill and creativity.

Remember, all entries must be homemade or homegrown – no store-bought items allowed. This is your chance to demonstrate your talents and compete for certificates awarded to winners in each category.

Supporting Local Fire Brigades

Every entry will be auctioned off after judging, with 100% of funds raised going directly to our local Rural Fire Service brigades – Limeburners, Karuah, and North Arm Cove. These volunteers work tirelessly to protect our community, and this is a wonderful way to show our appreciation while celebrating Australia Day together.

Entries open at 11:30am, with the auction commencing at 12pm. Get your best produce ready and join us for a great day of community spirit and friendly competition.
